Meet the Doulas
Join other new and expectant parents at Meet the Doulas to learn the answers to questions about birth and postpartum doula services.
- Receive an overview of what doulas do
- Learn the benefits of doula services
- Understand how dads/partners and doulas work together
- Discover how to find the right doula for you
Doulas working in the Peninsula will be on hand to answer your questions, offer personalized referrals, and represent some of the wonderful variety of personalities, ages, backgrounds, and skills you can find in a birth or postpartum doula. Time is also provided for parents to meet individual doulas in brief "get acquainted" interviews. Meet the Doulas is a monthly event, sponsored by BABI.
Please register one week prior to the event.
Mama Art+Craft Table
The monthly art & craft table is hosted in San Mateo for pregnant and newly minted mamas.
We gather around the Mama Table to share the creative space and work on our artistic endeavors.
- Learn to knit or crochet something precious for your babe
- Bring your pregnancy art
- Paint & decorate your belly cast
- Make a LabOrinyth Work on your baby quilt
Babies in utero or in arms welcome! There is a $1 minimum donation, which supports the Volunteer Doula Programs for the Teen-Age Parenting Programs of Redwood City and San Francisco.
Babysitting (crawling to 6 years) provided on-site for $3.50/hour per child. Join the Mama Table the last Saturday of the month at 10:00am.
